On Choosing Happiness

.

Happiness is only a choice I make. It's a reaction, a reflection that comes from my heart and reaches my mind. It's a choice that I make insensibly, or that I completely ignore most of the time. Insensibly. Without awareness. This is what's important
____________

I, of course, can choose to remain sad and pessimistic by relating a simple situation with complicated and hard-to-reach wishes. In fact, I can notice that this is a cutoff that my mind has been using for years. Only then I can search for happiness by walking under the rain, reading on a train, saluting the sun, petting a cat, or watching a series to teach new paths to my mind by staying with it whenever I find it.
____________

The only common thing between these possibilities is me. Making decisions and choices requires intentional awareness and mindfulness in life. Getting out of autopilot, breaking the old habits, including your utmost unique attention in every job, seeing yourself, knowing yourself, acknowledging yourself.
____________

Only then, I can understand the source and outcome of my decisions and finally make a choice.

Because now I know happiness is a choice I make.
