Joy in June - Yoga Calendar - Online
Hi friends!
I am writing this post to let you know that I have created a yoga calendar just for you! (A downloadable version is below!)
Maybe you know, maybe don't, but I have been doing yoga online since 2015. This allowed me to explore numerous YouTube channels over time and, of course, set my favourite channels.
Even though nowadays I mostly follow my own rhythm and flow, I sometimes still open a video on YouTube and let one of my favourite online teachers guide me.
I thought why not share these beautiful people and their practice with you? June is a great time to start your daily practice. Summer is approaching for the northern hemisphere and winter for the southern. New beginnings, flowing with joy in June...
Before you click the calendar, let's see my favourite people:
- The queen @adrienelouise or her @fwfglife community is a perfect place to start your yoga journey. She is the one who introduced me to yoga in 2015. Her YouTube channel is called “Yoga with Adriene” and there are hundreds of yoga videos and millions of subscribers! It is incredible when I think about how a small community we have back in 2015. Forever grateful for her mindful approach and lovely smile. Thank you Adriene for making us find what feels good!
- All-time favourite @fijimcalpine shares her practice through @doyogawithme, the YouTube channel also has the same title. I adore how Fiji cues her students, and how calm and peaceful she is. It is not only about her strong and solid practice, but also mindful and unique flows that blow my mind. I love her!
- @sarahbethyoga Sarah’s flows come to my rescue when I feel anxious. Her voice is so calm and her guidance is so reliable that I do not need the look at the screen even once! She is THE teacher who can direct you thoroughly. Here is her channel, Sarah Beth Yoga.
- You can find lovely @yogawithbriohny teaching you wonderful flows on @alomoves. The YouTube channel is called “Alo Yoga” which also offers lots of yoga practice videos for free by other teachers. But Briohny is my favourite so far as she reminds you to unite your body, mind and soul together. She does not rush even though her flows are (I think) mostly advanced. A good place to improve your practice.
- Here comes another adorable teacher who has been sharing her practice on YouTube for years! @yoga_with_kassandra has lots and lots of yoga videos on her channel for all levels. She also teaches different yoga types such as yin or power yoga. I love her flows because they are easy to follow yet deep. Also, her voice is so calming.
- I discovered @tanatrzebinski only this year but I fell in love with her flows. She has been sharing her videos online for two years on YouTube (Tana Yoga), so she also has tons of flows to follow! I love how she connects you through your breath and how she warms up before the flows.
- Lastly, another new discovery of mine: @breatheandflow (same name on YouTube as well). They are an adorable couple, both yoga teachers. I LOVE their power yoga flows but you can find other types of yoga such as yin, vinyasa, prenatal etc. I don’t know how but they manage to be both gentle and strong at the same time. Isn’t that what yoga is all about, huh?
- You can ALWAYS adapt the poses.
- Not every asana is for every body, so don’t feel obliged to do every pose.
- The secret is to show up every day.
- Breathing is everything in yoga. Breathe.
- If you have any questions, I am here to answer.
With love, always
Necla
