Dissatisfaction Lives Within
I will write what my heart speaks to me today because dissatisfaction lives within.
A new city will not change anything. A new dress will not make you really happy. A new person will not erase past feelings. A new job will not make you worry less.
All these will be either temporary or boring in time. You will get used to it, want to change it again and again and again. It is an endless loop and most of us call this life. At some point, it is true. Life is all about changing.
But we forget that change does not come only through our surroundings.
Deep down, we know that dress will not buy us happiness. We already feel that starting anew will not turn us into a different person.
The idea of changing our lives is a lie that we repeatedly tell ourselves to feel like we are trying. Yet we escape from the real thing.
We don’t ask why. Really, why? Why do we keep wanting things that we believe transform us or our emotions or our lives? Why do we continually desire these evanescent things strongly? I believe it is because we are too afraid to look inside. We are too lazy or too intimidated to check our actual feelings.
To find the roots of your dissatisfaction, you have to connect with your emotions. It is not about the excitement of having something new.
It is about that frustration stays with you when nobody is around. It is the dispirited part of yours that speaks whenever you try to be fulfilled externally. It is the voice in your head saying “It is not enough” over and over again.
Stop repeating the same pain and look inside to find a cure. Save yourself from the lifelong sadness that comes from never being satisfied.
