Wisdom Comes From The Heart

Demeaning what your heart desires will not bring you anything but despair. And despair can put you in a bottomless well where you can’t see even a little corner of the sky. The damp bricks will remain imperishable. You will seek a way outside. You will expect help from the outside. Then the walls will get taller. Then the light will be farther. Then the air surrounding you will be thicker. “Why?”, you will ask. And I will tell you why.

I know you’ve learned how to ignore your feelings, how to suppress them, and how to numb them. You shunned your own heart lest they would think you are useless.
Maybe you won’t want to hear but I will have to tell you anyway: This isn’t a coincidence.

We live in a world where logic is presented as the nitty-gritty: in a world where your ultimate breakthrough cannot be achieved as long as you have and show your emotions. That, at least, is what they teach purposely. Feelings are weak, people think. How can you be weak? How can you let your guard down while everyone else is so happy and fulfilled?

When you get upset, what is the source? When you are filled with anger, where is its root? You’ve run from all this ‘negativity’ for the sake of pleasure. But pleasure will remain as long as there is pain. Balance is forgotten in the sea of desire.

The way out will start with your acceptance. Wisdom comes from the heart, not from the mind. Whenever the mundanity of this world conquers you, don’t hide. Don’t run. Don’t push anything away. Just stay there with your hand over your heart. Just stay there and ask:
Are you willing to learn how to cherish your soul?🧚🏼‍♀️
