day 57 - growing energy
At the end
of today’s practice I felt like my physical body was just a tiny little sand
unlike the energy I had in me. My eyes were closed and my body was shrinking
more and more while the energy was blowing and growing through the sky. I don’t
know how I can describe it more clearly but it’s the thing I felt. I guess
finally I am being able to let my body go with the flow. If you feel so tired
that you do not want to do anything at all just try this 33 mins of yoga with
Fiji McAlpine. (Click) I guarantee you will be filled with 100% positive shining
energy.
It is a
fast and chakra opening flow I suppose. It specifically focuses on the heart
chakra by lots of chaturanga dandasana & utkasana. Let’s focus on these two asanas today because
I genuinely believe they are connective pieces to improve our energy level
during the yoga flows.
1.
Chaturanga dandasana – we generally come to this pose before we head to upward
facing dog or cobra. It is simply plank pose with bended elbows. See the pic
above. During chaturanga dandasana what you should flare all your fingers and
toes. Your stomach should reach your back and your back to the ceiling or sky
but do not raise your hips so high. Instead, try to equalise the balance of
your stomach & back with your hips. Think these as two different opposite
sides. While two of them want to reach to the sky the other want to slow them
down. Do not bend your back so much, it can hurt and can cause a damage. Your
elbows should be at 90 degrees so do not go forward or backward, stand where you
are naturally.
2. Utkasana
– It is perfect before or after forward folds and mountain pose. This asana is
great to catch the energy you need actually. Your knees shouldn’t pass your
toes, your hips are completely at the back. Think yourself sitting on a chair
mainly. Your hands reaching to sky and they are together. Your thighs and feet
are together as well. Your upper legs and inner thighs will probably will ach
so much if you are trying this asana for the first time. It’s okay if you
cannot stand so long, just use it to flow. Don’t forget to use your core
strength to decrease the tension occurring in your legs and hips. Support your
back with it.
Of course
don’t forget to breathe too! During today’s exercise I could catch Fiji and did
every movement with the correct breath harmonisation. If your asana and breath is
synchronised, it is way more effective to feel the energy you create.
It’s good
to connect universe by letting go of your physical conscious, yet moving
with it.
It’s good
to be yourself without thinking anything except your breaths.
It’s good
to check your inner self, real you, your mentor not through a harsh
conversation or blaming but through a gentle and loving flow.
It’s good
to smile when you are looking at your feet.
It’s good
to love yourself.
It’s good
to do yoga.
Namaste –
till tomorrow.
