day 45 - morning yoga





It’s good to spend time with friends while having some beer. Today was out of ordinary. Instead of coming back home from work I went out. I had planned this day before that’s why today’s yoga was in the morning and I had a twenty four minutes yoga session just before work. It wasn’t my first morning yoga session but this one was longer and faster. I was planning to add a 7 minutes of meditation to start my day. The time didn’t allow. Since I had alcohol I won’t try to meditate before sleep. I know it’s bullshit but I don’t care.

Sometimes I ask myself if I am an alcoholic but the answer is always no. I do love alcohol, I love being high. That’s of course out of question but it’s not necessary for me. If I needed to make a choice between yoga and alcohol I would choose yoga. Simple is that.

There is of course a difference between doing yoga in the morning or evening. Morning yoga makes your physical and mental body ready for life endeavours. You save yourself enough time just before starting to give your attention somewhere else. Your energy level rises, your brain stays calm as in sleep. It’s way better than evening sessions but it’s tiresome too. I am not ready to wake up earlier everyday just for my yoga. (confession time) I will continue to add morning session to my weekly or monthly schedules to be ensure myself that I am able to do those.

Every minute passing the past becomes more bloomy. Future has never been clear. So why not trusting in this moment through my body and physical actions?
