dAY 42 - schedule

Hey ho! Let’s go!
When I got home today I was so fucking tired. My left leg especially was hurting so much but I didn’t miss my yoga session. I did “Up Your Connect” video of Adriene and it was full of forward folds, mountain pose, upward & downward facing dogs, planks…

Ordinary flow of Adriene.
I am used to it so I don’t have any difficulty to follow it but it’s too bad to have only one day for yourself in a week. I had only this Sunday to save for myself and I wasn’t at home at all. I preferred spending my time with my family and doing shopping. The winter is literally coming but I don’t have anything to wear (it’s for real because the last time I bought a jacket for winter was 7 years ago: D) Nevertheless, when I came home I did my yoga immediately.( SELF DISCIPLINED)

I had some problems regarding my anger today. Although many people think that it’s odd and funny I am afraid of birds and I cannot prevent this. My father is suggesting a professional consultancy & aid for it but I don’t want because I don’t like birds at all, so it’s beyond fear. Yeah my anger was just because of a budgerigar btw. I am happy as long as they are in their cage but by the time I think they are free at the house I make a fuss literally and not sorry for that.

Anyways, let’s focus on my yoga. Yesteeeeeeeerday I did a little bit of practice and tried to do meditation just before going to sleep. Today it’s almost vice versa. I did physical practice I’ve mentioned above already but didn’t do any meditation. Remember the schedule I mentioned before? I did it! I will start to apply that by tomorrow.

So it means this month I will be focusing on 3 things : standing wide legged forward fold & meditation & quick flows. You will see when you check the schedule that I will repeat the same video over and over respectively for 6 days and I hope that will improve my asana (prasarita padottanasana=standing wide legged forward fold).
I do love forward folds as I have mentioned formerly and that’s why I chose this asana. It makes me feel good, most importantly more focused. We’ll see if applying a flow for one asana over and over will help me or not. You may think this as an experiment actually.

And let’s talk about the meditation part.
I don’t know anything about meditation but I’ll see if I can handle with it. I want to know if my mind is able to meditate after yoga ( or before yoga more effectively). I will change the order depending on my mood.
For the first days I didn’t want to challenge myself much because initially I need to see my body’s & soul’s reactions to this. Meditation is THE MOST significant part of yoga I BELIEVE. If you cannot meditate properly you cannot water your soul and the soul means everything for a yogi.

I believe today I had an open heart chakra because in the morning I did some stretches and yogasanas for it. I felt the same energy flowing during my evening yoga session as well.
However, for what I should be careful is the food. I know I stop eating for pleasure and start to eat what is necessary for my body. This brings certainly lots of awareness and makes me avoid from gluttony.
Think about it. Whatever you choose to eat (junk food, sweats, fats, vegetable, fruit; doesn’t matter) your body keeps trying to function normally. It always works for you and your wellness. Even though you don’t care for it, it REALLY cares for you. Think about all of your internal organs when you eat unnecessarily much or unhealthy things. They don’t mind about it. They just overwork to please your cells. What you eat and how much you eat are the crucial pinpoints for your body.

Fiji McAlpine’s 14 Day Yoga Challenge will help me to improve my flows. I am sure I will be able to keep pace with faster flows. She’s a bit upper level for me but I like challenging myself. It’s only 14 days. As you can see I’ve separated this month into two: 1- meditation & slower flows & prasarita padottanasana, 2- faster flows & more energy.
