day 40 !!! sk8er girl - yoga for skaters


Keep in mind the fact that I skated yesterday for 2 hours before judging me for a yoga session called “yoga for skaters” today. Haha! If being able to stand still on roller skates, I am a skater yeah. *Here comes sk8er boi from Avril Lavigne*

The practice was slow and focused on the breaths more than flows. During the half of it I was lying on my back. Adriene said through regular practice we could straighten our legs to the sky completely and guess who could do that today? Yeah, I, the sk8er girl/yogi. Normally I get bored performing slow yoga videos because I can’t focus on anything but the movements. Lying on the floor or breathing in the meditation poses while moving my body slowly is a thing I can do only by myself rather than through a video. So, I generally choose fast and full of postures videos to do.

Although “Yoga for Skaters” video was not one of them I really enjoyed it. I just gave my all attention to my diaphragm breaths and checked if my belly was full of air or not.  What I liked most about today’s practice is that I repeated everything I did lying on the floor when I stood up. It included a one legged balance pose. Once again I realised I am in love with standing balance postures. Coming at the level of actualising them is just exciting.

Today was 40th day… Unfortunately it was not a spiritual day for me. I see the earth as a materialist does. That’s why I will share some inspirational quotes from Shambavi Chopra that I translated into English.

Please do not be afraid of flowing whether you do yoga or not. Do not let time to capture you. Tame your mind, body and soul. To find your own perfection, start to believe.
