day 35! - wind down
No
stretching, no downward dogs, no challenging postures. Just some easy breaths
and rolling on the mat. It was a nice and kind session. I don’t know why I
picked that up but it was the perfect choice for my sickness. I still have
yesterday’s horrible migraine effects on my body. Today I needed to take a
painkiller to calm my brain. I waited till afternoon but it didn’t go away
despite a cup of black coffee. I met with one of my best friends before he took
off to Berlin for a master’s. It gave me a considerable amount of anxiety
because I remembered I was not a citizen but a prisoner of this country… Luckily
there is yoga to relax!
Necessary
things to do yoga:
YOU.
So, I
winded down by today’s exercise. I really focused on the diaphragm breath and
watched my thoughts fly to the sky. The coordination of your breath and movements
is a meditation all by itself. When exhaling I sighed loudly and it was also
great to feel the vibration of my voice. I will try it with the “om” sound when
I am meditating (but who knows when??)
